Tourism

To promote tourism, we launched tourist and biblical routes under the auspices of the Council of Europe, in partnership with the European Association for the Preservation and Promotion of Jewish Culture and Heritage (AEPJ). This initiative aims to raise awareness of Jewish cultural heritage, which has garnered great interest from the Jewish communities in Europe, America, and beyond. These efforts contribute significantly to promoting Georgia as a European cultural center.

The first official Georgian tourism representation in Israel opened in 1999, marking the beginning of a long-term collaboration between Georgia and Israel in the tourism sector. This development has played a crucial role in strengthening tourism ties and enhancing Georgia’s international profile.
